Feb-Apr: Book Club Selections
he UUCT Book Club has selected the books for February, March and April so that participants will have time to acquire and read the books. We meet via Zoom on the 2nd Thursday of the month. I open the meeting
by 9:20am for conversation. At 9:30am, we start the discussion of the
book.
February 11, 2021: One Thousand White Women by Jim Fergus, copyright 1998.
Lori S will lead the discussion.

1875 and marries the Chief of the Cheyenne Nation.”
March 11, 2021: Becoming Nicole by Amy Ellis Nutt, copyright 2015.
Nancy K will lead the discussion
“The inspiring true story of transgender actor and activist Nicole
Maines, whose identical twin brother, Jonas, and ordinary American
family join her on an extraordinary journey to understand, nurture,
and celebrate the uniqueness in us all.”

Carolyn C will lead the discussion
“Girl, Woman, Other is a magnificent portrayal of the intersections of identity and a moving and hopeful story of an interconnected group of Black British women that paints a vivid portrait of the state of contemporary Britain and looks back to the legacy of Britain’s colonial history in Africa and the Caribbean.”
We meet the second Thursday of each month via Zoom and start the book discussion at 9:30am.
