Our annual fall rummage sale is scheduled for Nov. 11th and 12th. You may start bringing things to Goddard Hall now. Sunday mornings are a good time to bring things or call the church office to see if someone is there to take your items. Call Margo at 520-784-1198 to make special arrangements or if you want to help with the sale.

The workday – really just morning – is set for 8-11 on Saturday November 5 on the church campus. Come and make friends with the cherry wood paneling in the sanctuary, or paint a door in Goddard. Some windows need washing, even a kid could help here. There are lots of sticks and branches that need picking up on the west end of the church property. You get to pick the job, inside or outside. We need YOU. Bring the family and everyone can make new friends with people, trees, and our buildings. Breakfast food and snacks provided. Always helpful to bring a rake and gloves. We have the rest.

Lets get together and talk about it!

Learn about the Seven Principles with us.

Learn about the Seven Principles starting here: https://theprinciples.today/

Our first meeting, a discussion of the first principle of UU, went very well! Six UUCT members discussed topics ranging from how to employ the first principle toward people we don't like, people who are doing things we struggle with, and politicians and other leaders who seem to cause more harm than good to the world. How do we sit with everyone having worth and dignity when we don't agree or feel harmed by them? We also explored the meaning of the word dignity, and what it might mean to treat others with dignity. Please join us for the next one on October 16th, 9am on the patio.

"The Beast: Riding the Rails and Dodging Narcos on the Migrant Trail" by Óscar Martínez, English translation 2013

Previously published in Spain in 2010 and in Mexico in 2012, Martínez’s debut is the hard-won result of immersive journalism. After several large-scale kidnappings of migrants, the author spent two years following the routes used by undocumented travelers though Mexico.

Martínez develops attentive portraits of the migrants, officials, aid workers and criminals he encounters; his first-person account is executed with passion and grit, illuminating a heartbreaking yet easily ignored reality.

A harrowing look at the real costs of globalization, immigration and drug-prohibition politics, short on solutions and absent hope. -- Kirkus Review

The last Tuesday of every month, we collect hard boiled eggs, other food items, good used clothing, towels, toiletries, pet food and other suitable items for one of our favorite non profits, the Casa Maria Soup Kitchen. Every day, Casa Maria feed up to 500 hungry homeless and low income Tucsonans. Many members of our congregation make hard boiled eggs, and meet a UUCT volunteer at our church, on the last Tuesday of each month, between 8 and 9 am.
Each month, a UUCT member can sign up to drive along with donations for an unforgettable tour of Casa Maria.
If you would like more information about our UUCT commitment with Casa Maria, please email Sue Watts: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Sunday morning Religious Education is off and running!

We are watching between 3 and 15 children every Sunday. How exciting is this?!? However, we are struggling to have enough adults so we can supervise them. Would YOU be willing to be on the back-up list to supervise the Nursery on the weekends we are short-handed? If you're willing to be on the list for the occasional Sunday, please email Jamili at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

We will begin our group around one of the most sensitive topics for us and our youth: Gender Identity, Relationships, Social Media, Safety and Consent, and more. We will dig into the topics and curriculum called “Grown Ups [Parents and Caregivers] As Sexuality Educators” which will guide our discussions. For more information about this curriculum check out https://www.uua.org/families/sexuality-educators

As we explore how we support our children in building healthy, safe relationships, who knows what else will emerge! Topics to be determined by the group. Bring your wisdom and questions to share.
