Holland Foyer and ADA Remodel with HVAC Replacement
Progress on Holland HVAC and remodel
During a very informative congregational meeting with architect Bob Vint, we redesigned the universal restroom to create a handicapped restroom, a family restroom and 4 stalls, all with doors. The curved ramp to the east platform is very attractive and means there are no railings in front of the pulpit.
We have raised $191,100 in pledges. We have $70,000 to go in the next two weeks. We need YOU to step up and help us accomplish this so needed project.

The heating and cooling unit in Holland Sanctuary is 50 years old, contains asbestos and Freon, and frequently breaks down. When it breaks down repairs are expensive and slow as parts need to be found. The cost to replace and remodel is estimated at $260,000 and this is not in the budget. An anonymous gift of $100,000 gave us the courage to try and raise the rest of the funds to do the job.
Replacing the old HVAC, which is large, releases a lot of space which can be used to remodel the restrooms off the foyer. These are small and non–ADA compliant and new restrooms could include baby changing tables and a family restroom.
People with mobility issues have a hard time or are unable to access the eastern platform in Holland. Providing a ramp or other means of access would display our radical hospitality; All are welcome here.
