The Virtual Christmas Pageant
This year we can't hold our regular Christmas Pageant chaos night, but we don't want to miss all the fun!
The Christmas Eve Pageant Service will be posted on UUCT's YouTube and Facebook page mid-day on December 24th. You can watch at your leisure, or join with your UUCT family for a zoom watch party! We'll open the room Dec. 24 at 5pm and start streaming the Pageant at 5:30pm.

How to Give to the Church
You are asked to use our credit card service (which can be reached by the link or the On-line Giving button on our website), the very easy to use Text-to-Give (1-833-361-5796), or checks sent to the office. The on-line giving gives you the option to identify the contribution and use the memo line for checks. A tutorial video on Text-to-Give is here. After setting up an initial “profile” these options are easy to use for subsequent donations.
Pledge Updates
Are you current on your pledge?
We are asking you this because pledge income has decreased in October, November and December. Some members have inquired if they are up to date on their pledge, so we are sending an interim giving statement were sent yesterday, December 15. This statement will only be for the current fiscal year, which began on July 1, 2020. Year end statements, which will include the calendar year, will be sent in mid January for tax purposes.
We would appreciate you bringing your pledge up to date as of year end, if you are able to do so. We understand that some of you are experiencing financial hardship during this Covid crisis. Please feel free to contact Rev. Bethany, if you are having difficulty and need to talk about it: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
With appreciation,
Linda French, for the Finance Committee
Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees met on November 17, and December 15. Minutes from the November meeting can be found here: Nov Minutes

UUCT Book Club
The UUCT Book Club has chosen books for the next three monthly meetings. Hopefully this provides enough time to purchase/borrow and read the books.
January 14, 2021: “Spying on the South” by Tony Horwitz, copyright 2019.
“In Spying on the South, Horwitz may have found his true historical
alter-ego in Frederick Law Olmsted, the elite Northeastern adventurer
and prolific writer about the American South in the 1850s who later
became America’s great landscape artist and designer of parks all over
the United States.”
We meet online the 2nd Thursday of the month at 9:30am.

Listening Class
Does it ever feel like everyone is shouting to be heard and no one really feels understood?
Listening is an important part of personal health, relationships, and community - but it’s a skill many people never study or develop! Hearing each other can be even harder in this political climate and during the holiday season.
Beyond the current challenges, listening is a particularly important skill for UUs because when we covenant together we aspire to come from a place of respect and understanding. Do you think practicing the skill of listening could help you? Join Rev Samantha and Ministerial Intern Rylee for a deep dive introduction to listening skills.
This class is open to all Baja 4 congregations.
Dec 19th 9:30am-12:30

Join the Baja 4 families in POPs, a video-based, at-home curriculum grounded in Unitarian Universalism and designed for parents and caregivers of children ages 2-5. By engaging with POP videos, parents and caregivers will come to understand their child's spiritual development, to build rituals that support this development, and to see themselves as spiritual teachers.
Each month,
  • On your own, watch three short videos on the theme of the month.
  • With our POPS adults, meet once a month to check in and share.
  • With our children, join other kids for story and crafts time!
All activities are optional and free for Baja 4 families!
  • Contact Jamili at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or Stacie at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

RE at Home Resources
Are you interested in "doing church" at home? I am collecting resources for at home religious education both on the Parenting Club facebook page and in a google drive. The folder is available to everyone! You'll find activities that take 5 minutes and one that take 5 days, so you're in control of how much time you spend on RE.
