How to Give to the Church

You are asked to use our credit card service (which can be reached by the link or the On-line Giving button on our website), the very easy to use Text-to-Give (1-833-361-5796),or checkssent to the office. The on-line giving gives you the option to identify the contribution and use the memo line for checks. A tutorial video on Text-to-Give is here. After setting up an initial “profile” these options are easy to use for subsequent donations.

Amazon Smile:Did you know that if you buy anything from Amazon, you may designate that a small portion of your purchase amount can go to the church through the Amazon Smile Foundation? It is easy to do, just select the church as your charity of choice. We received $61.80 from Amazon Smile for purchases made July 1-Sept 30 of this year!

Year End Pledge Request:
Pledges have been down slightly the last two months. Please consider sending in your pledge by December 31 to receive credit for tax purposes.

Listening Class

Does it ever feel like everyone is shouting to be heard and no one really feels understood?

Listening is an important part of personal health, relationships, and community - but it’s a skill many people never study or develop! Hearing each other can be even harder in this political climate and during the holiday season.

Beyond the current challenges, listening is a particularly important skill for UUs because when we covenant together we aspire to come from a place of respect and understanding. Do you think practicing the skill of listening could help you? Join Rev Samantha and Ministerial Intern Rylee for a deep dive introduction to listening skills.

This class is open to all Baja 4 congregations.

UUCT COMES TOGETHER FOR A WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING DINNER!!

Just about everyone played a part in our dinner of Thanksgiving, even Elsie the church cow, who carefully placed bags of hot boxed dinners into waiting cars. Plenty of food, plenty of cheer and plenty of work!
The planning team could not have done this without this list of volunteers. Namely, Bob Gordon, Dennis McRitchie, Susie and Rick Meyer, Dex Blue, Betsy McMillan, Georgia Conroy and our very own Chris Tackett, who didn't have time for piano forte!

We fed close to 100 of us, as well as some hungry passersby.
A big THANKSGIVING THANKS to all who purchased meals for themselves and for donating meals to offer complimentary dinners to our staff and low-income members of our congregation. Our fundraiser raised a whopping $2,200!

The day was complete with a heartwarming thanksgiving prayer, live on ZOOM at 3pm, with our minister, Reverend Bethany.
Sue Watt, Rex Graham, Margo and Larry Newhouse
Poinsettia Fundraiser
A big thank you to everyone who purchased a poinsettia for this years fundraiser, and thank you to the Care Team for delivering nine poinsettia's to members who would not have received them otherwise. Carolyn Saunders and Nancy McKean were responsible for making this happen this year. A round of applause for Carolyn and Nancy !

RE at Home Resources
Are you interested in "doing church" at home? I am collecting resources for at home religious education both on the Parenting Club facebook page and in a google drive. The folder is available to everyone! You'll find activities that take 5 minutes and one that take 5 days, so you're in control of how much time you spend on RE.
