Share the Plate
SHARE THE PLATE for the second half of August goes to CASA ALITAS.
Casa Alitas, (through Catholic Community services) is a program serving migrant families who have left their home countries to escape violence and poverty. Casa Alitas provides care, shelter and help to reunite them with family members in the U.S. The present pandemic has caused many problems for those incarcerated, and in limbo. 50% of them have become infected with the COVID19 virus. Casa Alitas continues to help many through quarantine once released from detention centers, and helps look for sponsors if they have no family here. There is a desperate need.
