ART SHOW OF "HOPE AND HEALING"
The church is pleased to present a special show in Holland Sanctuary, beginning onNovember 10.You will be surprised when you arrive that Sunday by the transformation of the space, with a show of art curated by Valarie Lee James and her collaborator, Antonia Gallegos. The artworks, made by migrant children mostly from Guatemala, El Salvador and Mexico, are amazing, and are displayed as simple drawings or on quilts made by the Esperanza Quilters.

The day of the opening there will be a reception after the church service, and Valarie will lead a brief tour of the show. The show will be on display through November, to be taken down about December 9, so you can bring friends and neighbors to see it during the hours of the week when the office is open, M-F, 9-1, or on Sundays after service until 1. Call the office at 520-748-1551 to be sure someone is there to open the door for you.

Landscaping Team
The weather is cooler and the landscaping team is in action again.  Please join us. We are looking for a few folks to volunteer to care for specific areas of the campus.  The work would involve raking, hula hoeing and weeding your assigned area. In addition, we need a couple people to water our drought thirsty trees in the parking lot. You would work on your own schedule with tools provided by the church. Contact Barb Ricca atThis email address is being protected from spambots. Kitchen crew will now be serving lunch only on 2nd Sundays due to lack of volunteers.

Care Team Seeks a Rides Coordinator
Recently, staff and members have heard an uptick in the number of people asking for rides to church on Sunday morning. There are many reasons why someone need a ride to church: they don't have access to reliable transportation on Sunday mornings, they have chosen to stop driving, and more. The Care Team is looking for a volunteer or two who might be willing to create and monitor a rides program so that those who need a ride to church can be matched with people who live in their neighborhood who can give them a ride to church. Rev. Bethany is happy to help you think about how this might work if you have the skills, but haven't done this before. Contact her if you are interested! Not sure how to get involved? Here's the scoop:
  1. When you arrive at UUCT, sign up for your preferred class at the table outside Holland Hall.
  2. Enjoy Worship Service in Holland Hall (yes, even the youth)! We will dismiss everyone to class at about 10:45am, after the Message for All Ages.
  3. Leave for your class in the Education Wing during the Children’s Benediction. Not sure which direction to head? Just follow the crowd! We’ll all go out together and there will be an officious person with a clipboard to show you which room to go to.
  4. Learn, enjoy, share, participate!
  5. Repeat again next week.
