Acoustic Worship: Heart Space
Thursday, October 24 | 5:30-8:00 p.m. | Holland
There is a center in the body where love and spirit are joined, and that center is heart. It is your heart that aches or fills with love, that feels compassion and trust, and that seems empty or overflowing. In our first experimental "Alternative Worship" this year, we will explore ways that our hearts can fill when we practice intentional loving kindness with each other. "Unconditional love is not so much about how we receive and endure each other, as it is about the deep vow to never, under any condition, stop bringing the flawed truth of who we are to each other" (Mark Nepo). We hope to see your whole self there.

5:30pm --Goddard opens for anyone who wants to eat dinner together.
6:00pm --service begins
6:45pm --bring some potluck light snacks for socializing and a deeper discussion of the worship topic. We'll bring out the fire pit!

When Walls Crumble
Sunday November 3, 10:30am
Worship Leader:Rev. Bethany Russell-Lowe
Worship Associate:Brenda Lundt
Music:Leeza Beriyeva and Desert Chorale

This worship service kicks off our monthly theme of "Compassion." November 9th marks the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. What walls have we built up in our personal relationships? How can we break down those walls? What happens when walls crumble?

  5. Repeat again next week.
