Widening the Circle: 8th Principle Mini-Conference
January 23rd | 9 am – 12 pm | Zoom
This church year, your Board of Trustees has asked all UUCT members and friends to consider whether we might adopt the 8th Principle as a congregation at our Annual Meeting in May. The 8th Principle – which has been adopted by more than 30 Unitarian Universalist congregations – reads:
“We, the member congregations of the Unitarian Universalist Association, covenant to affirm and promote: journeying toward spiritual wholeness by working to build a diverse multicultural Beloved Community by our actions that accountably dismantle racism and other oppressions in ourselves and our institutions.”
To help members and friends learn about the 8th Principle, Rev. Bethany and Jamili will host a mini-conference on January 23rd open to all who are interested. This will be a chance to: learn about the 8th Principle, participate in workshops which will deepen our understanding of the 8th Principle, and commit to further learning in advance of Annual Meeting in May. We will meet on Zoom from 9 am – Noon on Saturday, January 23rd. Register by emailing Rev. Bethany at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
