November is going to be a busy month! Here's a preview of what is coming up!
Holiday Card Project
Nov. 17, 24, Dec. 1 | 8:30am | Goddard Hall
The Social Justice Council will host Sunday morning holiday card parties to send to folks in detention centers. No experience necessary. Please invite your friends. Children are especially invited, too. We will have lots of examples of Spanish words and phrases for you to choose from. We don't want to offer false hope, but we can let the recipients know that they are not forgotten - no matter how isolated and forgotten they may feel.
Faith Floods the Courtroom
Nov. 20 | 8am | Federal Courthouse
Answer the call for people of faith and conscious to flood the federal court room at 405 W. Congress St. in Tucson. We will show up in support of Dr. Scott Warren, human rights activist with Tucson UU's ministry, No More Deaths, facing 10 years of jail for providing life saving aid to migrants in the desert. During the last trial, over 100 faith leaders from across the country showed up. RSVP HERE
