UUCT Auction Procedures:

Silent Auction:

  • Enter your bid number on the sheet provided. Highest bid wins.
  • Sign-up items – All bidders sign up at a set price. All pay the same.   Bids spaces are limited.

Live Auction:

  • Raise your bid number card. We identify bidders by their raised card.
  • Typically, we do not sell more seats than indicated by the donor.
  • Multiple seat items – Highest bidder gets as many seats as they choose (up to the limit), then other active bidders may buy seats at the same price as the highest bidder. If seats remain, non-active bidders may purchase seats at the high bid price.
  • If there are still seats left, we may offer them at a slightly lower price in order to maximize income for UUCT.   Please remember that the goal is to raise as much as possible for the church.

Payment:

  • Checkout starts in Goddard Hall about 8:15 (about 15 minutes after live auction ends).
  • Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted. Full payment is due the night of the auction.
  • Pick up Receipt (2 copies) and review it – If there is a problem, come to the Problem Resolution table.
  • Cash / Check - Go to a Goddard payment table.
  • Credit Card – Go to the Credit Card payment table.
  • Keep one copy of Receipt, give one copy to payment person.
  • Please do not take items until you have paid for them. This ensures the correct bidder gets the item. The winning bid number will be affixed to the item to eliminate confusion.
  • Pick up Gift Cards at the gift card table.

Unsold Items:

  • Items not sold on auction night will be for sale on Sunday after church in Goddard or later in the church office.
