Our Guest Speaker today is Janine Gelsinger — from UUJAZ: Unitarian Universalist Justice Arizona

  • UUJAZ is a State Action Network,
    • which means their role is
      • to support UUs and congregations across our entire state
      • to take action for social change.
  • Janine has served as the executive director for four years,
    • and in 2023 moved into a shared leadership role,
      • alongside Director of Finance + Operations Casey Clowes,
      • and Director of Communications + Development, Analise Ortiz.

Janine also serves the greater UU movement as…

  • a co-host of the VUU [pronounced view]
    • the weekly UU talk show and podcast,
  • as a curriculum writer for Beloved Conversations
    • the UU anti-racism program,
  • and on the steering team
    • for the Religious Professionals Joint Code of Ethics.

She lives in Phoenix, with her two young children: Vivienne and Ramona.

  • And she wants everyone to know she would love to chat with you during coffee hour after the service!
