UUCT votes to replace the HVAC in Holland Sanctuary…
At the annual meeting,
- the congregation voted to move ahead with replacing the HVAC in Holland Sanctuary.
- They authorized signing the contract
- with Durazo Construction for $318,624,
- which Ken Asch, Vice President for Operations — did on Monday, May 8.
- We have raised $36,240 in pledges and checks
- toward the shortfall of $60,900.
- We anticipate a grant from TEP of several thousand dollars
- due to increased efficiency of the new HVAC.
- We continue to look for money
- to finish funding the shortfall.
- The congregation also voted for the motion
- to work on refreshing the bathrooms as dedicated money becomes available.
- We would be the contractors for that job.
- There will be more information on this as plans and costs develop.
- The motion to build the ramp at this time failed
- because of the cost,
- but also because the design is in flux.
- because of the cost,
New ideas are coming forward
- that we need to evaluate
- to find the one that best fits our needs
- and is compatible with our beautiful mid-century building.

I will be sending frequent reports as we get underway with the demolition and construction.
Stay tuned for this exciting adventure.
