Unitarian Universalist Church of Tucson

Our Mission

We transform ourselves, our community, and our world by intentionally living our Unitarian-Universalist principles.

Greetings and WelcomeRev. Lyn Oglesby

Welcome to our Unitarian Universalist faith and our Church community in Tucson.  We have been a beacon of liberal religion and a place for a free and responsible search for truth and meaning for over 60 years.  We are a diverse community without creed but with shared values and principles for a better world.  We take inspiration from many religions as well as humanist and scientific thought.  We welcome all who wish to join us in our search for the sacred.

Our Seven Principles

We, the member congregations of the Unitarian Universalist Association, covenant to affirm and promote:

  • The inherent worth and dignity of every person
  • Justice, equity and compassion in human relations
  • Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations
  • A free and responsible search for truth and meaning
  • The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large
  • The goal of world community with peace, liberty and justice for all.
  • Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.

Religious Education

Our Vision

Our lifespan learning community seeks to nurture and stimulate the spiritual, intellectual, emotional, and social growth of people of all ages, stages of faith and levels of religious experience.

We envision a program that is rooted in our UU principles and a free and responsible search for meaning that through the thoughts and actions of our lives, transforms us, our community, and our world.
