RE Ministry
Vision Statement:
The Religious Education Program
is a lifespan endeavor; only the focus changes with each developmental
stage. It encompasses a conscious framework for each child, youth and
adult to develop, define, articulate, and live the UU Principles, and
nurtures each individual person's spiritual growth and development. The
RE Program nurtures and stimulates the spiritual, intellectual, emotional
and social growth of each child, youth, and adult through participation,
which connects each of us to one another in our congregation and to the
larger community. The RE Program teaches the UU Principles, UU History
& Heritage, World Religions, and Peace & Social Justice, and provides
opportunities to experience, understand, integrate and act on them. It
also values its staff and volunteers by providing structure, community
support, and staff development, as well as adequate facilities and financial
resources.
